For those of you who know me, you know how much I love connecting with and caring for people. I am extremely excited and passionate about becoming a nurse and am now at a point in my life where everything has come together to be able to pursue this dream.
As you may know, school is extremely expensive these days. The Oklahoma City University Kramer School of Nursing BA to BSN program is an accelerated, intense program in which students are required to focus solely on studies and not work outside of their courses. I have enough savings to pay for my living expenses for the entirety of the program but not enough for full tuition and other program expenses.
Because of my driving passion and desire to become a nurse, I am taking a leap (way out of my comfort zone) and asking for your help and the help of others you know who may have the means and desire to see me through on this dream. My goal is to raise the remaining cost of tuition and fees for nursing school.
The program cost is 59,134. I qualify for $25,000 in financial aid. This means I need to acquire $34,134 to be able to attend. I am, of course, applying for grants and scholarships. If I am able to receive money this way or any other way (fingers crossed), I will absolutely let you know and deduct it from the fundraising amount as it comes in. I also plan to do fundraising events and to create other opportunities for raising this money. If you have any thoughts, ideas, connections or resources, please share them with me. I am open to and very grateful for your creativity, support and generosity in any form.
My hope is that you will join me in my excitement and passion for this endeavor, offer your support in whatever ways you are able and pass this on to all those you know who may be interested.
For those of you who don't know me, I would like you to know I have a proven track record of educational success already with a BA in Psychology and an MA in Spiritual Psychology. For almost three years I have been coaching university students toward success at my current job with Inside Track. I clearly have the tools, skills and experience needed to be successful in nursing school and beyond. I also have commitment, passion and a strong drive to excel in everything I set out to do. You can feel confident in my ability to succeed in completing this degree program and in my ability to become an outstanding nurse.
